The 2013 Canadian Track and Field Championships that take place from June 20th to 23rd, in Moncton, New Brunswick will be worth watching as the implications are deep for many Canadian athletes. Those wishing to make the qualification standard for the 2013 IAAF World Track and Field Championships in their respective event must also finish top-three at nationals.  The worlds, takes place in Moscow, Russia from August 10th to 18th and are considered to be the same level of competition as the Olympic Games.

In addition to the Canadian Championships, those who finish top-three in their event, may not have yet qualified for the worlds and will be chasing standards. Domestically, Canadians will be racing wherever they can get into a meet that suits their needs however, most will compete in the 2013 National Track League.
