The following is the International Athletics Consultancy’s reaction to what they believe to be incorrect reporting by
Mr. William Njuguna from The Star Newspaper (Kenya).

On October 2nd, 2015, The Star Newspaper (Kenya), reported in the story titled “Two more banned” and
written by Mr. William Njuguna, among other information, the following:

“Kenya 800 metres specialist Agatha Jeruto and road runner Josephine Jepkoech Korir have fallen foul of
doping laws and been banned for four and two years respectively by the International Association of
Athletics Federations.”

“Korir, who until recently was managed by the late Zane Branson, has been banned for two years with effect
from December 2014 after in competition test in Luanda, Angola where she was running a road race in
December last year.”

International Athletics Consultancy (IAC) states that Josephine Jepkoech Korir was not managed by late
Zane Branson / IAC and in strongest possible terms we object incorrect and irresponsible reporting by Mr.
Njuguna and The Star and we request swift retraction and apology.

Mr. Njuguna and The Star Newspaper never contacted IAC for any clarification or comment in this regard.
