He went 2km and at that point I had a solid gap on the rest of the field. I just had to run tough over the final kilometre and had a good finish. I am pleased with the result and looking forward to Moscow!” said a please Winter.

The event is Winter’s second-to-final steeplechase before next month’s World Championships in Moscow, Russia, “I have been confirmed for the London Diamond League meet this Saturday in the Steeplechase. Also running are Alex Genest and Matt Hughes of Canada. Should be a great race! Very excited to be running in last years Olympic stadium,” said Winter.
