Three-thousand metre teeplechase African Champion Jairus Kipchoge Birech and 800m World champion Eunice Jepkosgei Sum got their Diamond Race trophies dusted and wrapped up ahead of tomorrows Brussels meeting in Belgium, the final stop in the 14-leg circuit staged in Asia, Europe and U.S.. Both must however line up tomorrow in Brussels and irrespective of their finishing position, their unassailable point lead has guaranteed them the trophies. Caleb Mwangangi Ndiku was the first Kenyan to take the diamond league trophy after his crown was wrapped up in Zurich last week when he held off strong challenge from Ethiopia’s Muktar Edris to win in 13:07.01.
