Aelaide Badini Confalonier is an Italian exchange student from Turin, in Victoria, BC for one year. She is attending Spectrum Senior Secondary in Saanich. Confalonier finished in sixth position. She said that in Italy, at the national championships she will finish top-three, so the competition is better in British Columbia.
Fatima Choumou is a refugee from Sudan and is also attending Spectrum. She says that she likes to race the 200m to the 2000m distance events, but in this 5K cross-country race is just happy to finish.
