This year’s Vancouver Sun Harry Jerome International Track Classic will mark the annual event’s 35th anniversary and to celebrate, will be held over two days for the first time. The expanded format of one of Canada’s premier track and field events will pit some of the country’s best athletes against one another and will be held in conjunction with Canada’s national sprint team taking on the fastest men and women from China in a unique Team Sprint Challenge.
The China-Canada Team Sprint Challenge will feature a ten-event dual meet between the two countries over the two days on the new state of the art surface at Swangard Stadium. The Team Sprint Challenge will actually be a meet within the regular Jerome meet, which will have 10 events on June 26 and 12 events on June 27. The team with the highest score will be awarded the Pacific World Cup.
