Madelyn “Maddy” Bonikowsky won the 2019 BC High School Cross Country Championships, one week after winning the 2019 BC Club Cross Country Championships in Saanich, BC at Beaver Lake Park.
At Clearbrook Park in Abbotsford, BC, she ran most of the race with defending champion Kendra Lewis, but took the lead over the final few hundred metres.
Bonkowsky is still in Grade 11. She is originally from Tsawassen, BC, but has moved to Nelson.
