Malindi Elmore, 39-year-old mother of two finished third in the 2019 Vancouver Sun Run behind Natasha Wodak and Kinsey Middleton.
Elmore won the race in 2010. She ran her standalone debut marathon in January in the time of 2:32.
Elmore is now committed to the marathon distance and will train for a fall race possible the Toronto Waterfront Marathon or Chicago.
