Matthew Travaglini, from Calgary, Alberta won the Royal Victoria 8K on Sunday, October 8.
Travaglini has won the half-marathon as part of the event in the past.
Here, Travaglini explains, that he was racing local Daniel Zewdu to 5K, then began to create separation. The final 3K is flat and downhill. Next up is provincial cross country and national cross country in Ottawa.
