Mike Tate with Speed River Track and Field Club won the 2019 Canadian Cross Country Championships. The event took place in Abbotsford, BC at Clearbrook Park.
Tate narrowly defeated 2016 Rio Olympian Luc Bruchet of Vancouver and his training partner Connor Black.
It was a cool day with firm footing, a fast course, except for a disruptive hill in the middle of the 2K loop that the athletes had to run over five times in the 10K race.
Announcing were Paul O’Callaghan and Lynn Kanuka.
