Due to conflicting events, the Nairobi City Marathon has been postponed from May 21 to July 2 this year.
Race Director Ibrahim Hussein cited the fact that two high-profile spring marathons are happening at the same time.
Registration fees will be refunded to those who cannot make the new date.
The Ottawa Marathon and Rabat Diamond League meet as well as several other track meets are taking place on May 27 and May 28.
“We thought it wise to make the move so as to attract some of these top athletes,” said Hussein during the press conference at Moi International Sports Centre.
