Natasha Wodak, a 2016 Rio Olympian and 2019 World Cross Country Championships competitor had a very strong race Sunday. She won for the seventh time with a 25:55 finish time – her second-best 8K. She has run sub-26 at least three times. She holds the Canadian 8K best at 25:28 from the 2013 Pioneer 8K. She also owns the national 10,000-metre record at 31:41.59 from the 2015 Payton Jordan Invitational.

Asked if she will go after the 2020 Tokyo Olympic standard this spring, she said, “Yes at Payton Jordan.” Payton Jordan at Stanford University is where she set the national record. The Olympic standard is a rich 31:25.00.
