Natasha Wodak talks about why she chose to run the marathon in Chandler, AZ in December.
The Vancouver-area runner also talks about running a big marathon at her best, after the Tokyo Olympics as well as chasing the national half-marathon record again. She held the previous record for 13 days.
She talks about choosing the marathon over the 10,000m, her teammates, and the selection process.
Wodak and Christopher Kelsall discuss Andrea Seccafien taking her 10,000m and half marathon records. During this 28-minute video, Wodak also talks about Coach Lynn Kanuka, teammate Malindi Elmore and concern for teammate Dayna Pidhoresky, who she says, “made the team fair and square and people need to stop talking about whether she should be on the team.”
The Sapporo course was discussed. It is relatively flat but does have one climb at about 8K into the race.
