Parkrun events are scheduled to resume in England by the end of October 2020.

They were halted globally in March due to the coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent social distancing protocols that followed.

Parkruns typically happen on Saturdays. Even though they are not certified races and no race bibs are used, results are compiled and made available after each running.

Parkrun partners with World Athletics

Earlier this year, World Athletics announced the partnership with Parkrun Global Limited.

“The two will combine resources to grow the sport of athletics and deliver good health and fitness outcomes for communities around the world,” a World Athletics press release stated.

The release went on to say that parkrun operates now in 20 countries and that participation levels are up to three million people.

World Athletics has 214 member federations and Parkrun will work together to encourage people around the world to get moving and keep moving to join a local Parkrun.
