On Sunday, April 2nd, the “Olympic Day Run” Greece, the ultimate Olympic road race, returns for the 6th consecutive year to Thessaloniki, more dynamic than ever, honoring the 75th anniversary of the global institution (Olympic Day) celebrating the revival of the Olympics Games.

Participating Olympians, Paralympians, distinguished athletes, sports clubs, and associations from all over the country, the “Olympic Day Run” Greece honors this year the 1st Olympic Games “Athens 1896” (April 6, 1896) and offers new enjoyable 10K, 5K & 1.5K routes to athletes and runners, who are going to run alongside the Olympians.

With the motto “Not Just A Run.. The Olympic Run”, the “Olympic Day Run” Greece introduces its rich educational, cultural and social action program, based on the Olympic values, which will be developed throughout the whole year, with the highest action of the concurrent program the revival of “Family Run+Fun” (1st in 2018) and the “Olympic Day Park”, an activity park for children, teenagers and families.

Registration for the 6th “Olympic Day Run” in Greece has just opened! Book now and live the ultimate Olympic experience as the Olympic Day Run is the official institution of the International Olympic Committee, which is implemented in other 200 countries in the world with the participation of more than 5.5 million runners annually!! In Greece, the only Olympic Road Race in the country, the “Olympic Day Run” Greece gathered athletes from 74 countries and 5 continents in 2022 races. The event includes AIMS-certified Races: 10km for adults, 5km for adults and teenagers, and 1.5km for all ages. In the Race of 1.5 km school teams participate free of charge, while Group Registrations apply to all Races.

The organization in Greece is carried out by the Thessaloniki Olympic Museum and the Hellenic Olympic Committee, the International Olympic Academy, the Hellenic Olympians Association, the Hellenic Athletics Federation of Thessaloniki, the I. C.O. ”OLYMPiA”.
All the runners who finish will be given a commemorative medal and participation diploma from the International and Greek Olympic Committee, while the winners will receive the special prizes of the 6th “Olympic Day Run” Greece.
