The agency, AMG Sport, will deliver strategic management for Tergat, guiding his professional and speaking engagements, as well as race and brand ambassadorships.
Tergat said, “Running has given me a lot, personally and professionally, and I would like to inspire others to use sport and running as its essential force, for social and economic change. I am excited to start this new chapter with AMG Sport and to bring renewed focus to my foundation. Sport has the power to transform lives, and I want to use my experiences to inspire and empower the next generation. While Africa will continue to be in my focus, I want to get Asia on the move, to show the world its youth through sporting excellence.”
Marko Vasic, Director of AMG Sport, commented, “Working with Paul, my personal hero, being the first human to break the 2.05
marathon limit, and 20 years ago, in the era before the super shoes, means we will break new limits by engaging runners and companies that care about performance and social impact. We will be supporting Paul in both his professional engagements and his social causes. The relaunch of his foundation. Together, we aim to share his vision and impact with audiences around the world.”
