The third in the Garden Clash athletics events this time will be between decathletes world record holder Kevin Mayer, world champion Niklas Kaul and 2019 world silver medallist Maicel Aibo.
They won’t actually be doing decathlons, but a modified triathlon from their respective homes in Montpellier, France, Clermont, Florida and Mainz, Germany. The event will be streamed live.
World Athletics president Sebastian Coe who was pleased with the first two events, both pole vaults competitions said, “Events like the Ultimate Garden Clash show what can be done on a small budget with a little bit of ingenuity.”

They will begin in the pole vault over a 10-minute limit to try to clear 4m. This will be followed by the shot put where they will try to get to 12m in another 10-minute window. Then they will finish up with a shuttle run where two cones are placed 20m apart. The athletes will gain points for each completed length over the course of five minutes.
