Twenty-four-year-old Jack Oates, from Fareham, Hamshire, UK won the Vanguard Way Trail Marathon even though he wandered off route for a spell. The event takes place on a portion of the 66-mile national trail. It is a hilly course that starts on the edge of London and goes through Surrey, Kent, and East Sussex.
He then won the Andover Trail Half Marathon near North Hampshire as well as the Bewl Water Marathon near Tunbridge Wells in Kent. The latter two were run in record times.

He ran Andover 1:20. which is a new record by nearly 10 minutes. His Bewl time on September 7 was 2:47:25.
Next up, he will race the Beachy Head Marathon in Sussex, UK. It was formerly known as the Seven Sisters Marathon, on Sunday, 18 October
His marathon personal best is 2:35 from the 2019 Isle of Wight Marathon Oct. 7, last year. His fastest half-marathon record is 1:16:53.
