Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy sanctions over 80 Russian athletes and officials.

Zelenskyy issued the decree banning Russians from entering Ukrainian territory for 50 years. This is in response to Russia’s illegal attack on Ukraine.

Russian Olympic champions have been punished, including international goaltender Igor Akinfeev, ice dancer Nikita Katsalapov, biathlete Svetlana Ishmouratova and gymnast Svetlana Khorkina.

The Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu’s daughter Ksenia Shoigu a triathlete as well as former Russian international goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev, have also been sanctioned.

“Support, which people now especially need, has been and will be more important for us than some crazy lists, and the decisions that Kyiv is trying to tie to sports have nothing to do with it, sports should remain out of politics,” said a statement from RTF.

The arrogance does stop there.

“It’s nice that comrade Zelenskyy knows such a name as Ishmouratova,” said Shoigu, who is now a member of the Russian Red Army, told TASS.

“The flag is in his hands, I just laughed.

“I take this calmly.

“We have a huge country with beautiful untouched nature, from a tourist point of view, I won’t lose anything — I won’t be upset if I don’t travel to European and some other countries.”
