The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series® has announced that the Rock ‘n’ Roll® Las Vegas Marathon & ½ Marathon will have an all-new start line in the heart of Las Vegas Blvd. between Harmon Ave. and Park Ave., with the races maintaining their 4:30 p.m. start time. In what has been a truly global event unlike any other, runners from all 50 states and over 70 countries have converged to experience the only private event to close the Las Vegas Boulevard at night.

The 10K will begin at 4:00 p.m. at its familiar location on Las Vegas Blvd., outside the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. All Sunday races will finish where they have in the past on Las Vegas Blvd. at the Mirage Hotel & Casino.

The course gives participants a one-of-a-kind nighttime running experience by taking them down the closed lanes of Las Vegas Blvd. and past iconic Vegas sights, such as the ‘Welcome to Las Vegas’ sign, Downtown Las Vegas and Fremont Street, and the Fountains of Bellagio, before finishing at the foot of the Mirage volcano. With a renewed focus on the core pillars of bringing fun to the run with great music in a community environment, runners of all athletic levels will be treated to more music, live bands and entertainment on course as well as new and improved aid stations.

The running will start on Saturday night with the Rock ‘n’ Roll 5K presented by Brooks and continue Sunday evening with the marathon, half marathon and 10K distances. Runners can choose to participate in the “Remix Challenge” and earn a bonus third medal by running in both the 5K on Saturday and any distance on Sunday.

Race weekend also features the Toyota Rock ‘n’ Roll Concert Series with past headliners in Las Vegas including The Goo Goo Dolls, Kid RockAll-American Rejects and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. Details regarding the 2018 Start Line Festival and Headliner Concert are still being finalized. In addition to the headliner concert, 20+ live bands and DJs spanning all genres will perform along the race courses entertaining and encouraging runners with more music than ever as they make their way to the finish line.
