The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) announced the provisional suspensions or notices of allegations of two athletes: France’s Cyréna Samba-Mayela and Uzbekistan’s Doston Rajabov.
Cyréna Samba-Mayela
Samba-Mayela has been suspended for failing to be available at the stated times for testing by Doping Control Officers.
The sprinter won a silver medal in the 100m hurdles at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and has won several other international events.
Her personal bests are: 100m hurdles 12.31 (a national record); 100m 11.73i; 60m hurdles 7.73i.
She may appeal the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Doston Rajabov
Doston Rajabov has been provisionally suspended as the athlete tested positive for the prohibited substances (DCHMT metabolite, Drostanolone metabolite, Octodrine and metabolite).
DCHMT and drostanolone are prohibited under the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) prohibited list as S1.1 anabolic androgenic steroids. They are classified as non-specified substances and prohibited at all times (in- and out-of-competition). DHCMT and drostanolone are anabolic steroids that can cause rapid muscle growth.
Octodrine is prohibited under the WADA prohibited list as S6.B stimulants and as a specified substance prohibited in-competition only. Octodrine is a central nervous system stimulant that boosts alertness and energy.
