English-Italian sprinter Antonio Infantino has been suspended for the “presence of a prohibited substance or its metabolites or markers in an athlete’s sample.”
The Italian Athletics Federation made the announcement Thursday that he is suspended.

The five-time national champion competed in the 200m event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
The 30-year-old Athletic Club 96 Alperia member trains in England at the Lee Valley Athletics Center. His coach is Thomas Sparks.
He owns personal bests of 20.41 in the 200m and 10.26 in the 100m. Infantino has run faster in both events, but were wind-aided.
