Polish high jumper Norbert Kobielski has been provisionally suspended for doping a few days before the Paris Olympic Games. The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) announced his provisional suspension on Tuesday.
It was first determined that he tested positive and denied doing so on July 15.

The AIU announced the suspension for a positive test for a metabolite of norephedrine pentedrone.
The 27-year-old high jumper finished seventh at the 2024 Glasgow World Indoor Championships in February and in 10th place at the World Championships in Budapest last summer. He qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games but will not be going.
Kobielski owns a personal best of 2.33m, which he set during the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Oregon at Hayward Field in Sept., 2023. He is a nine time national champion indoor and outdoors combined.
The Games begin on July 26, with men’s high jump qualifying scheduled for August 7.
