Wildcard entries for the 2020 World Championships in Nanjing and $20,000 (£15,000/€18,000) bonuses for overall winners will be up for grabs on next year’s World Athletics Indoor Tour.
World Athletics has confirmed a seven-stop circuit for 2020, beginning in Boston in the United States on January 25.
Karlsruhe and Düsseldorf host the second and third event of the campaigns, respectively, on January 31 and February 4, before the tour moves to Torun in Poland on February 8.
Glasgow will host a stop on the series on February 15, before athletes head to the newest leg of the circuit in Liévin, France, on February 19.
Spain’s capital Madrid will stage the final World Indoor Tour event of the season on February 21.
The tour will feature the 11 point-scoring disciplines not included this year – 60 metres, 800m, 3,000m/5,000m, pole vault, triple jump and shot put for men, and 400m, 1500m, 60m hurdles, high jump and long jump for women.
Each athlete’s best three results will count towards their points score.
