Richard Allen from Huddersfield, UK, while competing for VFAC of Vancouver, ran the Vancouver Sun Run and finished fourth. He followed that performance up with a win the following Sunday in Victoria at the TC10K.
He clocked a 29:43 time. He worked with a few other runners until 5K, then it became a race between Liam Dwyer and Allen, with Allen winning by 27 seconds.
