The Amazean UTMB World Series

The Amazean Jungle Thailand by UTMB 2025 drew to a spectacular close on May 4th. This was after three days of trail running competition in the unique setting of Betong, Yala Province. From May 2nd to 4th, over 4000 runners from across Thailand and over 50 countries tackled the challenging yet breathtaking trails. This event further cemented the event’s status as a premier race in the UTMB World Series.

Participants were immersed in the “Amazean” experience, navigating the lush, diverse landscapes of Thailand’s southernmost district. The event showcased the demanding beauty of Betong’s rainforests. It also showcased the misty mountains and warm hospitality, rich cultural tapestry of the region. The atmosphere throughout the weekend was electric. And it was fuelled by the determination of the runners and the enthusiastic support from local communities and spectators.

Flagship 109km race

With a range of distances From the flagship BETONG 100M (109km) to the community-focused Saturday Night Run 4K, the event catered to all abilities. From elite international trail runners to first-time participants. The successful execution of all races underscored the commitment of the organizers, volunteers, and local authorities. This was manifested by delivering a world-class trail running festival.
