On October 3, the World Anti-Doping Agency’s accredited lab found the presence of the banned performance-enhancing drug tramadol. She claimed it was from a prescription from her dentist, but that excuse was refused.
It was determined by a medical professional that subscriptions and medical reports handed in to the AIU were not related to the amount of tramadol. She was given two years after a provisional suspension, four years for doping and a reduction by one year, for a total of five.
Her marathon personal best is just 2:33:48 from the Lisbon, Portugal event in October 2024.
