Madelyn Eybergen won the 48th edition of the Harriers Pioneer 8K on Sunday, January 11. It is the first event of the Vancouver Island Race Series.
Madelyn won in the time of 26:23.
It was just two years ago that she was a high jumper in Ontario. Recently, she discovered running and found out that she is naturally talented, having now won the 2025 U Sport Cross Country Championships and this race.
Next up is a 3000m indoor race at the University of Washington, on its 307m track.
