American sprint coach Rana Reider, who allegedly has multiple complaints against him, allegedly had an affair with one of his British sprinters age 18.
There was an investigation conducted in 2014 by Neil Black’s performance team, which is apparently not an appropriate department that would look after the safety of athletes. The findings have not been released pending the ongoing investigation to abuse claims. Little was done at the time about the findings.
UK Athletics have admitted there were failures in a 2014 investigation into allegations of an affair Rana Reider and a teenage British athlete 26 years his junior. Interesting details from 2014 world juniors.https://t.co/N6n3EoHvop via @MailSport

Reider was age 44 at the time of the alleged relationship.
The US Center for SafeSport is going to investigate Reider over multiple complaints of sexual misconduct.
Current rules disallow relationships between an athlete and a coach in the UK. The rules at the time did not ban these relationships between a coach and an athlete. It was only strongly recommended that there be no intimate relationships between a coach and athlete.
Reider, married, is now 51.
Reider is an elite-level sprint and jumps coach with Tumblewood Track Club in Jacksonville, FL. He currently coaches six-time Olympic medallist Andre de Grasse, as well as Christian Taylor, Daphne Schippers, and Churandy Martina, to name a few.
Reider has also coached Adam Gemili, Anyika Onuora, Laviai Nielsen, Daryll Neita, Shara Proctor, Lynsey Sharp, Desiree Henry, Tiffany Porter, Martyn Rooney, Cindy Ofili among others.
Gemili and Neilsen have refused to sever ties with the coach and have subsequently lost funding from UK Athletics.
