There is a running boom going on. One example is with the Barcelona Marathon which has already had the same number of registrations as this time last year, with four months to go until race day.
With that much lead time before the Zurich Marató Barcelona 2025, 20,000 people have already registered for the 46th edition of the race happening on March 16, 2025. With a few more registrations the total will equal the total number from 2024, which was the third-highest volume in the history of Barcelona’s marathon and the highest in the last five years.
In addition to these figures, four months before the race ensure that next year’s event will surpass the current record number of participants, set at 20,385 in 2016. Thus, to be able to participate in the Zurich Marató Barcelona 2025 there are only 5,000 bibs available. A registration milestone for the Barcelona race coincides with the fact that three and a half weeks ago, the 30,000 available bibs were sold out for the eDreams Mitja Marató Barcelona by Brooks 2025.
