It is indoor season, and some big names will be racing soon.

For example, a strong elite list has been published for the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, taking place on Saturday, January 24, in Boston. Among them are such names as Jake Wightman, Dina Asher-Smith, Noah Lyles, Hobbs Kessler, Hannah Nuttall, and Grant Fisher.

The full entry list is available below.

Hodgkinson is back

Meanwhile, Olympic 800m champion Keely Hodgkinson will return to indoor racing at the Meeting Hauts-de-France Pas-de-Calais in Liévin on February 19.

Hodgkinson last raced indoors since defending her 800m title at the Istanbul 2023 European Athletics Indoor Championships. She had also had an injured start to 2025, which kept her on the sidelines until her dramatic comeback in August.

Millrose Games

The 118th Millrose Games is less than two weeks away. The men’s 800m will be one of the most competitive races at the meet. Any of the six men entered can medal, and five or all six could end up winning. The meet takes place at the legendary Armory in New York on Sunday, February 1st.

The 2019 World Champion, American Donavan Brazier, in the 800m will be racing. Also in the field is Bryce Hoppel, who is the current American record holder. He has clocked a stunning 1:41.67 when he finished fourth at the Paris Olympic Games. He is the 2024 World Indoor Champion and a seven-time US champion.

Mohamed Attaoui is the Spanish record holder, as well as an Olympic and World Championship finalist is racing.

Irish record holder Cian McPhillips will toe the line. He finished fourth in the 2025 World Athletics Championships. Phillips won the junior mile at Millrose in 2020.

Ben Pattison is an Olympian and the 2023 World Championships bronze medallist for Great Britain. And, finally, Colin Sahlman, who races for Northern Arizona University, will step up to the line. He boasts a 3:56.24 personal best.
