The dsm-firmenich Running Team is proud to announce that Olympic marathon silver medallist and 2024 TCS New York City Marathon champion Abdi Nageeye, alongside three-time Abbott World Marathon Majors podium finisher Mohamed Esa, will headline the team at the 130th Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America on Monday, April 20, 2026.

After clocking a Dutch national record time of 2:04:20 at the 2025 TCS London Marathon, the 36-year-old will make his return to Boston, where he previously competed in 2016 and 2018.
“I love this race,” said Nageeye. “I developed a more tactical way of racing over the years, and I’m excited to bring that experience back to Boston.”
Esa will also return to Boston following his impressive second-place finish in 2024. The former Somalian also clocked a 2:04:45 during the 2024 Rotterdam Marathon and has a sub-60-minute half-marathon to his credit.
“Boston is a race that demands a lot of discipline,” said Esa. “The course and the competition bring out the best in you. I’m excited to return!”
The 26-year-old Ethiopian Esa ran the 2024 Chicago Marathon in a time of 2:04:39.
