Athletics Kenya (AK) President Jackson Tuwei announced that Kenya will bid for the 2025 World Athletics Championships.
The first step in the process was when AK demonstrated its ability to host international meets when they put on the 2017 U-18 World Athletics Championships, held in Nairobi.
AK will next host the U-20 Championships from Aug.17 to 22 this year. the meet was postponed from last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed said that she is confident that the nation can host the Championships.
