Double world indoor medallist Laura Muir has confirmed today that she will target the British record over one mile at the Müller Anniversary Games over the weekend of 21-22 July 2018
One of Muir’s finest achievements of her career to date came at the same event in 2016 where she broke Kelly Holmes’ 1500m British record in front of a home crowd.
Laura said “I enjoy competing there as it always attracts the very best athletes in the world which makes it exciting for both the fans and athletes. I’ve had some very good races there in the past so it holds a lot of special memories for me.”
Muir’s announcement adds to an already stellar line-up that includes the 60m world record holder and world champion Christian Coleman, and Olympic medallist Andre de Grasse, as well as fellow British international medallists Dina Asher-Smith, Richard Whitehead, Andrew Pozzi, Olivia Breen, Eilidh Doyle and Morgan Lake.
