Press release ā Registration for 2025 Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend started at a fast pace today as sign-up began for the events on October 3-5.
At 4 p.m. today, more than 11,000 runners had signed up for a Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend event, which organizers anticipate will welcome more than 30,000 participants to Minneapolis and St. Paul this fall.
The popular Medtronic TC 10 Mile race, which introduced rush registration this year after decades using a registration drawing, saw its available field reach more than 70% capacity.

“Based on current registrants and trajectory, runners interested in running the 10 mile should be thinking in terms of hours rather than days ā and certainly not weeks ā when it comes to signing up,” Twin Cities In Motion spokesman Charlie Mahler said. “We’ve been really impressed and are grateful for the strong registration activity we’ve seen today.”
The Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon, which regularly sells out ahead of race day, already has more than 2,900 runners in its field.
“We truly appreciate the running community’s continued interest in Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend and look forward to welcoming them on October 3-5 with an event that exceeds their expectations and where they achieve their goals,” Mahler added.
