International stars, Olympic champions, the cream of the crop of French athletes, and apparently much more. This Friday June 9, at the Charléty Stadium, the Wanda Diamond League Meeting de Paris will offer the 18,000 spectators in attendance (stadium fully booked, see below) a constant spectacle.

Breakdancing, the Meet’s surprise guest

Athletics, the number one Olympic sport, is opening its doors wide open to one of the Olympics’ newest events, breakdancing. With one year to go until the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, the French Athletics Federation (FFA) will be playing host to athletes from France’s Olympic breakdancing team, who will perform in two ‘breakdancing’ battles midway through the evening, with commentary from the legendary Sidney, France’s hip hop pioneer.

Two Olympic disciplines at the same time, in the same place, at Charléty.

La Fête des Clubs: a special evening for young members

With La Fête des Clubs by Kinder Joy of Moving, some 3,000 young members will be able to relish the delights of athletics from 18:00 hours. On the stadium forecourt, before they even enter the champions’ lair, all these youngsters aged 16 and under, whose seats have been kindly gifted by Kinder, partner to the FFA, will get a chance to unwind with a range of activities specially reserved for them, including photo stands, make-up sessions and physical fitness tests (relaxation test, speed test, etc.) The icing on the cake: they’ll even get a chance to set foot on the Charléty track, during a lap of honour, slotted in just before the official evening kicks off.

Battles of the stands

With La Fête des Clubs stand pitted against the 300-runner Adidas members, who will win the best ambiance match? The Adidas runners will be banking on their big bass drums to light up the stadium with music from the south-west of France, whilst the kids from La Fête des Clubs will focus more on their Italian-style tifo…

A giant screen, to play and to win…

On Charléty’s giant screen, you have to be good, and you have to be quick! Clasping your smartphone, those who get the correct answers to the various quiz questions and blind tests projected on the screen will be gifted VIP seats and Shokz headphones to run around with musical accompaniment in complete safety.

And don’t miss the unmissable moments of laughter and relaxation on screen with the fan’s cams

Music…

Music from Sala Cissé, DJ and official musical programmer for the Paris Games 2024, Runny and Athlix, the French Athletics Federation’s mascots and the Federation partners’ sales outlets: the Shokz Corner and the official Adidas boutique operated by i-Run, and of course the multiple food trucks right around the stadium, so you can have an entirely fun-filled evening.
