This interview has been embargoed since February of 2022.

Released for the first time on November 2, 2025, under an agreement between Papa Massata Diack and Athletics Illustrated.

Papa Massata Diack is the son of Lamine Diack, who was jailed after spending decades in the International Olympic Committee and heading the International Association of Athletics Federations, now World Athletics.

During this interview, Diack alleges racism and corruption related to World Athletics and the World Anti-Doping Agency. Diack was the head of marketing for the IAAF and is accused and charged with bribing the organizers of the 2019 Doha World Athletics Championships to the tune of 500,000 Euros.

INTERPOL issued a red notice against Diack for complicity in receiving bribes, aggravated money-laundering, and conspiracy in an organized group to invest, conceal or convert the proceeds of active corruption. French authorities charged both his father and himself with crimes and jailed his father in France. As France and Senegal do not have an extradition treaty, the younger Diack, Papa Massata, remains at home, fighting to prove his innocence and to clear the name of his now deceased father.
