Great Britain and Northern Ireland’s Olympic bronze medallist Holly Bradshaw (GBR) will take on Olympic and world pole vault champion Katie Moon (USA) and world silver medallist Sandi Morris (USA) in the London Athletics Meet on Sunday 23 July.
Moon (née Nageotte) is the 2022 world indoor silver medallist and has a personal best of 4.95m from 2021, a mark that ranks her fourth on the global all-time list. She had a fantastic indoor season that concluded with her winning her third US National Indoor Championships title and opened her outdoor season with a 4.81m world lead at the Doha Meeting.

Morris, runner-up at the last three editions of the global showpiece, is a two-time world indoor champion (2018 and 2022) and Olympic silver medallist from Rio 2016. She is the US (outdoor) record holder with a mark of 5.00m, the third-best jump ever. Her season’s best is 4.71m (Doha, 5 May).
2013 European indoor champion and British record holder Bradshaw (4.90m, June 2021) – who alongside Moon won the International Fair Play Committee’s (CIFP) Fair Play Award as part of the World Athletics Awards 2022 – was forced to withdraw from the opening meeting of the Wanda Diamond League season in Doha due to stiffness in her Achilles during her warmup. The 2012 world indoor bronze medallist, who won European outdoor bronze in 2018, has encountered a series of challenges over the past 12 months and hasn’t competed since June 2022, but is looking forward to returning to action at the London Stadium.
“2022 was the most challenging year of my career, but I’m so lucky and grateful to have amazing opportunities ahead of me, and all of my energy and focus is now geared towards the World Championships in Budapest this summer and the Olympic Games in Paris 2024,” said Bradshaw, Great Britain’s first ever Olympic pole vault medallist and a three-time Olympic finalist.
“The women’s pole vault is incredibly competitive right now, but it’s also a really special event to be part of. These girls have had my back during the tough times, and I love that we can share the good times and celebrate together too. I can’t wait to compete alongside them in front of a home crowd in London as my preparations continue for Budapest.”
The London Athletics Meet is the tenth meeting of the 2023 Wanda Diamond League series. The series comprises 14 meetings in total. It concludes with a single final across two days in Eugene (16-17 September).
