Para-javelin athletics Sebastiana Lopez U.S. has been suspended for four years by the International Paralympic Committee (IPRC) for doping.

The F54-category Paralympian thrower tested positive at the Lima 2019 Parapan American Games in Peru.

Lopez tested positive for a banned substance named Cardarine or Enurobol (GW501516), which was dropped from manufacture because it was found to cause cancer in animals. Not only is it a banned substance, but it is illegal to use. The bodybuilding community has been known to use it for muscle building and fatty acid metabolisation.

She will lose two of her medals from the Parapan American Games. She had won a silver in the javelin throw and a bronze in the shot put.

Brazil’s Poliana Sousa, will be upgraded to silver from bronze in the javelin, while Chile’s Francisca Mardones, who finished fourth, will move up to the bronze position.
