The Herculis EBS meet is one that is much appreciated by athletes due to the stellar track at the Louis II Stadium. Typically there is great weather conditions, a high standard of competition, and the ambiance at the meet is exciting. This year’s event on August 10 looks like it will be another great meet.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, a global sprinting icon, boasts five world titles in the 100m, including one in Eugene just a few days ago. Topping this year’s world ranking in the 100m with a 10.67 performance; a time she has run on no fewer than three occasions this season, ‘Mommy Rocket’ is head and shoulders above her rivals right now. Competing in the 100m in Monaco, the Jamaican will be targeting the meet record (10.72), a standard that has been in the hands of Marion Jones since 1998. 

In the 110m hurdles, Grant Holloway is carving out a very fine track record for himself. He set the world record in the 60m hurdles, is a double world champion in the 110m hurdles, and has the second fastest time in history (12.81 in 2021) behind compatriot Aries Merritt. In Monaco, on what is renowned as a quick track, he’s sure to have his sights on the meet record (12.93 in 2012), a record currently held by Aries Merritt.

The meeting will offer 14 Wanda Diamond League events:

Women: 100m, 400m, 1,500m, 400m hurdles, 3,000m steeplechase, Pole vault, Triple jump, Javelin

Men: 200m, 1,000m, 3,000m, 110m hurdles, High jump, Long jump
