All eyes on Mo Farah

All eyes will be on Mo Farah. Can he make a go of the London Marathon? The 39-year-old ran as fast as 2:05:11 in Chicago in 2018. That performance stands as the British record.

Farah is noted for winning when it counts, not necessarily the fastest times. For example, thrice he won double gold in the World Athletics Championships over the 5000m and 10,000m distances. Twice he did the same during the Olympic Games. Farah owns nine British records from the 1500m to the marathon. Interestingly, his two best performances time-wise was in the 1500m 3:28:81 and two-mile indoor event in 8:03.40.

Last Sunday, Eliud Kipchoge at age 37, won the Berlin Marathon in a new world record time of 2:01:09. No one is expecting the 39-year-old Farah to challenge that time, but can he win London and can he run sub-2:05?
