This weekend’s Swiss Championships in Zurich (25–26 July) will be streamed live on the European Athletics website (geoblocked in Switzerland). Of course, all eyes will be on Audrey Werro.
Fresh from her world-leading 1:53.80 in Paris, Werro returns to the 800m for the first time since becoming the first athlete in history to record multiple sub-1:54 performances.
But before her 800m campaign begins, the Swiss star is also set to contest the 400m, where she currently tops the national rankings this season.
The championships also mark the return of European 100m champion Mujinga Kambundji following maternity leave, while Angelica Moser, Timothé Mumenthaler, William Reais, Annik Kalin and Jason Joseph headline a stellar domestic field.
