The Cuban capital will once again become the epicentre of running on November 15, 2026, with the celebration of the 40th edition of Marabana, the Havana Marathon. This iconic event continues to establish itself as one of the country’s most emblematic sporting occasions.

Registration is now open through the official website for international participants, in an edition that will bring together runners from all over the world for a unique day that blends sport, culture, and tradition.

A special edition: 40 years of running history in Cuba
In 2026, Marabana reaches its 40th edition, reaffirming its role as the great celebration of sport in Cuba. Year after year, the race brings together thousands of participants, both national and international, consolidating its position as a key event in the Caribbean running calendar.

Four distances for all runners
The race offers different options to suit all levels:
Marathon (42.195 km) – start at 6:00 a.m.
Half Marathon (21.097 km) – start at 6:15 a.m.
10K Race – start at 7:00 a.m.
5K Race – start at 7:00 a.m.

Additionally, participatory formats and adapted categories for individuals with disabilities are included, further reinforcing the inclusive nature of the event.

An iconic course through Havana
Starting and finishing on Avenida Independencia (Boyeros), in front of the Ramón Font Multipurpose Hall, the course runs through some of the city’s most representative landmarks.

One of the most outstanding sections is along the Malecón, where runners enjoy kilometres by the sea in a unique setting, surrounded by the atmosphere and energy of the city.

Runner services
Bib collection will take place at the Tryp Habana Libre Hotel (23 & L, Vedado):
November 11–14
Opening hours: 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The organization will provide refreshment stations approximately every 2.5 km, as well as services at the start and finish lines to ensure the best possible experience for all participants.

An internationally certified race
Marabana is certified by AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races), guaranteeing official course measurement and timing, and positioning the race within the international circuit.

An experience beyond running
Beyond the competition, Marabana is a celebration of sport and Cuban culture. The atmosphere, the music, and the warmth of the crowd turn every kilometre into a unique experience, making this event much more than just a race.
