Elite Races Showcase Local Talent
The event boasts a highly anticipated elite race featuring a mix of Canadian Olympians, national champions, and local favorites:
- Women’s Elite:
- Natasha Wodak, fresh off her Canadian Half Marathon Championship win, prepares to bring speed and endurance on back-to-back races.
- Defending champion and Olympian Dayna Pidhoresky is prepared for a repeat of her victory on Vancouver’s scenic course.
- Men’s Elite:
- Burnaby’s own Justin Kent s geared up as fierce competition, prepared to break the tape.
- Fellow local Rob Watson looks to leverage the home course advantage on the iconic, fast seaside route.
New 5K elite field
This year an elite field is being introduced for the 5K race, which is held at UBC. Nathan Dehghan, who clocked a swift 14:46 finish at the St. Patty’s Day Run in March, is expected to set a strong course record.

With 29 participating charities, the goal of $300,000 has now been surpassed at $301,000. As donations continue to roll in we aim for our next milestone of $375,000.
