Natasha Wodak interview at 2024 Comox Valley RV Half Marathon. Wodak won in the time of 1:11:52 to set a new course record. The old course record was 1:16:55. Finishing a couple of minutes behind was fellow Vancouver-based runner Dayna Pidhoresky.
Both will attempt to run sub-2:26:50 at the Hamburg Marathon at the end of April, in a last-chance try for a spot on Team Canada competing in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games marathon. Wodak said she enjoyed the course, the day and her execution of the run.
Dusty Spiller
Dusty Spiller ran to a personal best in the 2024 Comox Valley RV Half Marathon. He cleared his previous best by nearly a minute, winning the race and clocking 1:09:08.
He was racing the event in preparation for the 2024 BMO Vancouver Marathon coming up on Sunday, May 5. Spiller from the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island hopes to run sub-2:25 in Vancouver.
