Wes Shipsey from Portland, Oregon, is going to school in Winston-Salem, North Carolina at Wake Forest in the first division of the NCAA.
He was at the Victoria Track Classic on Friday, racing an underdistance event.
The 1500m runner won the 800m event in a new personal best. Next up is the Portland Track Festival.
