Gabby Thomas, the Olympic 200‑metre champion, will race at the Novuna London Athletics Meet on Saturday, July 18.

A triple gold medallist at Paris 2024 in the 200m, 4x100m and 4x400m relays, the 29‑year‑old owns a 200m personal best of 21.60, set in Eugene in 2023, which is the fourth‑fastest performance in history.

Thomas, the 2023 world silver medallist, missed the 2025 World Championships with an Achilles injury but has yet to lose in 2026. Her early‑season form includes a 10.95 personal best in the 100m in Botswana in April.

Most recently, she delivered the marquee sprint performance at the USATF Lone Star Grand Prix in College Station, Texas, winning the 200m in 21.70.

The 29-year-old American last raced in London in 2024, winning in 21.82. This was a meeting record at the time a result that boosted her confidence heading into the Olympic Games later that summer.

“I remember competing in London in 2024 so clearly. The crowd was great, and the atmosphere in the stadium was incredible. Training is going well, and I’m looking forward to putting on a great show at the Olympic Stadium.”

Thomas will face a strong British contingent: Daryll Neita, national record holder Dina Asher‑Smith, and Tokyo world silver medallist Amy Hunt.

Organizers report that more than 50,000 tickets have already been sold for the world’s largest one‑day athletics event. The Novuna London Athletics Meet is the 11th stop of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League, a 15‑meet global series spanning four continents. The season opened in Shanghai/Keqiao on May 16 and will conclude with a two‑day final in Brussels, Sept. 4–5.
