Grant Holloway broke his own 60-metre hurdles world record at the US Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Friday. The 26-year-old American is currently the three-time 110m hurdles world champion and Olympic silver medallist. On Friday, recorded a 7.27 in taking the record down two one-hundredths of a second.

Holloway did not race the final at the meet in the Convention Centre after his record-breaking performance in the semi. Next stop for him is the World Indoor Championships in March in Glasgow, Scotland.

The meet is the USATF Trials, for Team USA selection for the Glasgow World Championships.
