Because apps and satellites and watches vary in their accuracy, will go with the nearest to 5K as possible, not the 5.005 that World Athletics uses to certify a race. Will also be lenient on the 1m drop per km and the point-to-point direction. However, will adjust a performance that is excessive in its drop (like the gap feature on Strava).
