South African distance runner Johannes Lodewicus Munnik has been served a notice of allegation that he tested positive for EPO, the red blood cell booster.
The Athletics Integrity Unit announced the allegation over social media on Wednesday.
The AIU has provisionally suspended Johannes Lodewicus Munnik (South Africa) for Presence/Use of a Prohibited Substance (EPO)

The 26-year-old ran several new personal bests during the first half of 2026 over the 10km (road), 5000m, 3000m and 1500m distance events.
In Toruń, Poland, at the 2026 World Athletics Indoor Championship, he clocked 7:37.94 PB and finished seventh.
